Lets Start
They main point of to success is making sure you are using the correct character to begin with. Knowledge of personal strengths allows you to match with the abilities of a hunter. The hunter class is more than tracking down and shooting animals. Playing this can be a bit tricky as the hunter has distinct strengths and weaknesses.
What a hunter excels at: Ranged warfare, including the use of bows, guns or crossbows. They are incredibly effective at dispatching their enemies with these means. Survival and tracking are two other abilities that the hunter has under its belt. Damage from an attack in this class can be taken on the hunters behalf by a pet, leaving you more time to play. What they don’t excel at: Melee fighting is the most problematic for the hunter class. The class isn’t eligible for armor until you reach level 40, so this can be quite an issue in the early levels. Now that you know what a hunter can and cannot do, you can begin to craft your strategy for dealing with enemies. Keeping distance from danger allows for greater chance of victory. For a hunter it is important to arm yourself with a pet, they enable you to melee fight and absorb any damage. As the hunter stands back and causes damage, the pet can get in close.
Picking a Profession for Your Hunter
Now that you’ve decided to play this class, you’re going to need to pick a profession that meshes well with a hunter’s innate abilities. Your best bet is going to be the combination of skinning and leatherworking since this will enable you to make your own armor. However, another great combination is mining and skinning since this will allow you to make enough money to quickly purchase additional armor and weapons. Enchanting, tailoring and alchemy are some of the jobs that are not a good combination for the hunter.
The other classes may find these professions extremely useful, where as the hunter gains no benefit. One profession that can be of some use is herbalism, this allows you to concoct your own potions for healing. Gaining a pet on the other hand can also help with melee fighting and herbalism takes a back seat.
The Weapons
the hunter excels at ranged warfare as was mentioned previously. You may just want to concentrate on crossbows and bows, unless you develop the skill to use guns as well. Starting out you are given a basic bow, once you progress through levels you are able to upgrade and develop your skills. There are also many ranged weapons that you can earn as you complete quests.
