A cloth class like Warlocks has very few specialized gears. A Warlock gear may be something as plain as a cloth armor, a dagger, a wand, and trained sword and dagger. But, getting these gears doesn’t mean the Warlock can wield them at their will. Unlike other gear-dependent classes, the Warlocks have not much use with gears. But, what they don’t miss out on the gears department, they compensate in having the ability to wield very powerful summoning skills and spells.
With that said, anyone can guess that Warlocks don’t get much from being geared up. As if to add to the difficulty of gearing Warlocks up, there are also lots of considerations when gearing up this class.
They include the following:
{The starting stats} – The starting stats of a Warlock can become a bit problematic. This class is basically a spell caster, thus they rely more on attributes such as Intellect and Stamina and less on Agility, Strength and others. Intellect almost always infouences mana, but since there are plenty of alternative ways by which a Warlock can regenerate his mana without having to use up his manapool, there really is no need to boost Intellect. Stamina, meanwhile, influences your maximum damage output. The catch is, these rules don’t always stick.
Still, it boils down to this – acquiring gears with +Stamina or increasing your Stamina as you level up. As you advance to higher levels, allotting points to your Stamina through your gears and equipment becomes more important, ultimately enabling your Warlock to conjure more powerful spells.
{Warlock gear/equipment sets} – Warlocks, like other classes, have available sets of gear. These, you should be able to collect as you progress through the game. Warlocks have two available gear sets, the Deathmist Raiment and the Dreadmist Raiment. Pieces of these gear sets can be acquired individual throughout the game, thus players are recommended to search in areas where these are usually found. When worn together, the gear sets can enhance your stats as they have bonus effects.
{Gemming your gears} – The gems you can use to add bonus attributes to your gears also affect your choices of gears. Gems are stones that can instantly add effects on your gears. There are several kinds of gems available to Warlocks like Meta Gems and common gems. To know more about these gems, it would be best to research on Warlock guides that have sections dedicated on discussing the types of gem used by this class.
{What to expect as the level goes up} – A specialized Warlock gear is not normally found during the initial levels of the game. Usually, Warlocks share the same gears with other cloth classes. But, as you advance through the game, you will start collecting gears that are particularly useful to your character’s skills as well as growth. One of these gears is available to all level 50 Warlocks through the quest called An Imp’s Request. This quests offers players to choose among three important warlock gears – the Staff, the Robe or the Trinket. This opportunity for Warlocks comes once, so choose well; many choose the Trinket since this can be used even after your character has reached the level cap.
