If you can carry a tune or play an instrument without learning how to read music sheets, then you’ll probably doubt what learning music theory is for. It can so, being talented could be an excused. Sure, you can play good music and join a band and be an excellent musician without learning music theory, but you can do more to your music that you can probably express better if you are knowledgeable music theory.

In short, before you can bend rules to your own will, you would have to know them in advance. It’s great should you pluck the guitar as you hear it, it is a talent.
