If you want to borrow a book revealing magic tricks free of charge, go to your local library and type the keywords “magic tricks” into the library’s online catalog. Most public libraries will now allow you to access their catalogs from the comfort of your home.
The bestselling book on magic and illusion on Amazon.com is Derren Brown’s Tricks of the Mind. Brown is a popular television illusionist and his book teaches readers some of how he does what he does on TV. What you won’t find revealed are step by step instructions to replicate his tricks. His reputation would be damaged if he did so.
A more traditional book on magic is Mark Wilson’s Complete Course in Magic. This 512 page book contains the details of all sorts of magic tricks, including coin tricks, card tricks, and handkerchief tricks. This book, which has a five star rating on Amazon, is possibly the only magic book you will ever need.
Magic Tricks Revealed Free Online
There is no shortage of websites that have free magic tricks revealed. There is a definite fascination with revealing magician David Blaine’s secrets. It is not easy to see why Blaine is such a popular and controversial figure, and his name on a website is obviously designed to gain more traffic.
The website goodtricks.com has an entire section devoted to what it calls “David Blaine style street magic”. Criss Angel, the Greek-American TV magician, also has a page that features YouTube videos where he explains some of his really popular tricks.
Street magic is a type of magic performed in a public place in a “hit and run” style on an unsuspecting audience, hence the nickname “guerilla magic”. Blaine popularized it first, which is why his name is seen on so many websites.
A PDF document, called David Blaine’s Magic Revealed, discloses the details of many of Blaine’s most popular tricks. Among other tricks, it reveals how to appear to twist your arm 360 degrees, resurrect a fly from the dead, the illusion of levitation, and push a cigarette through a quarter. It contains a large amount of material for such a short book. If you want to impress your friends then this book is well worth studying.
