Mindpower Defined

It is a well known fact that most humans use only about 10% of their potential mind power. It’s something staggering to think about; how high must our potential be if we only use this small fraction of our minds! What could you accomplish if you were able to use 100% of your mind?

Scientists have long thought, in fact, that those who have so-called ‘psychic’ or extrasensory powers have them because in fact they can access parts of their minds other people cannot. They have perhaps been born with this ‘extra’ mindpower or they’ve been able to develop this power of the mind in their lives.

How exactly all of this works is not yet entirely understood, but progress continues to be made in examining how our thoughts may affect the world around us. It appears mind power creates our world!

There are studies which seem to suggest that our minds have more power than we think to shape reality; in fact, it may be that our minds are the determiners of our world, not the other way around.

Books about the law of attraction such as ‘The Secret’ discuss how mindpower can be used to make changes in people’s lives. Some think that this principle can be applied to make changes in the world around us as well as in our own lives.

This principle states that there are causes and effects to everything, even our own thoughts can bring about tangible effects if directed properly. It all relies on being able to get your conscious mind to communicate to your subconscious in order to use your latent mindpower to achieve results.

It seems that not only is the subconscious the prime mover behind psychic powers like remote viewing and telepathy, but is also our conduit to the energy of the universe around us.

Since the way to develop your mind power is to connect your conscious and subconscious minds, you’re probably wondering how you can achieve this link. There are several different ways to do this.

Affirmations:- Affirmations are a well known positive thinking technique. When you repeat a positive affirmation to yourself, your subconscious begins to understand and begin using your untapped mindpower and start making your wishes a reality.

So let’s say you need more self esteem. You might say something to the effect of, ‘I have very well-developed self-esteem,’ or, ‘I am very confident.’ Eventually, as you repeat this phrase to yourself often enough, your subconscious mind comes to believe it and corrects your poor self-esteem. You may also use affirmations to change bad habits, so for example, you can say, ‘I eat a healthy diet and enjoy my food,’ to change a propensity to snack on junk food to one where you crave healthy food, for example.

Affirmations produce results with repetition. You need to repeat the message until it reaches your subconscious and begins to make you change your behavior to get the results you’ve wanted.

Now, let’s take this one stage further. Realize that what you want to change is going to change — and not just any bad habits you want to go away and to be replaced with good ones, but everything you experience as your reality. This is indeed true mind power.

Hypnosis:- Hypnosis well known for increasing mindpower, since it allows direct communication with the subconscious mind. You can see a professional hypnotist to be placed into a trance while they give mindpower-boosting suggestions to your subconscious mind. Self hypnosis is another option. By listening to a recording of a hypnotherapist’s session, you can achieve the same results at a cost which is far less than visiting a professional yourself -and you can use this recording any time you like.

You can even visualize yourself using some of your other latent mental abilities. For example, visualize yourself communication with someone else telepathically or being able to use remote viewing. Using your mindpower in this way will help these natural psychic abilities to develop.

Using hypnosis:- Hypnosis is another way that you can communicate with your subconscious and therefore tap into the awesome power of your mind. You can visit a professional hypnotherapist or hypnotist. The hypnotist will guide you into a deeply relaxed state and then offer suggestions to your subconscious mind that will help you change bad behaviors or beliefs, or introduce good ones. And contrary to popular belief, you’ll remember what has happened to you in your trancelike state even after you have come back to your normal state.

Other frequencies help build mindpower by stimulating the energy centers of the human body; the chakras. Some stimulate the ‘third eye’ chakra, which governs psychic abilities.

Using brainwave entrainment:- A new audio technology has recently introduced. Called ‘brainwave synchronization,’ this alters your brainwave to a certain frequency, which can result in many positive changes. For example, you may improve your memory with one frequency, while with another one, you can encourage endorphins to be released into your body that can therefore alleviate and even heal pain.

Other brainwave frequencies can help you get into a meditative state very quickly, so that you can communicate directly with your subconscious mind and therefore facilitate developing your mind power.

You can also stimulate parts of your body known as your ‘chakras’ with brainwave frequency work. Chakras are energy centers. One particular chakra is in the center of your forehead. Called the ‘third eye,’ this is what is responsible for your ability to be psychic.

However, it needs to be noted that you don’t actually ‘develop’ these powers. Instead, you have them already. Some have thought that humans indeed had this power many thousands of years ago, but it has become repressed and devalued in the years since.

In fact, when we speak of developing mindpower, it might be more accurate to talk about unleashing these powers which lie inside all of us and allowing us to use our full mental potential.
