Flash, Fluorescent, Or Halogen Photography Lighting Kits?

Lighting In Photography

With photography lighting, angles and light play key roles in generating great shots consistently. Lighitng for photographers and it’s proper application is key part to creating the best shots as many know. It is simply a question of what type of studio lights or photography lighting kits would produce the best photographs for there particular situation. Continous lighting or strobe lighting, also called flash lighting.

Strobe flash lights are often used by professional photographers, they have the ability to provide a burst of light at the optimal temperature of 5600 Kelvin to simulate sunlight in photography. Create the highest quality results in photographic images. These flash strobe studio lights and kits require that the photography lights themselves be synched timing wise with the photographers camera to flash in time with the shutter’s lens. Most flash studio lights will do this with a slave sensor built into the flash lights. Synching the camera with one of the flash lights in the kit is all that the photographer has to do, the other lights in the kit will be transmitted to wirelessly so they all flash in perfect timing.

Not requiring synchronization of any kind, continous photography lighting kits on the other hand are very simple to us. There are two popular variations for continuous lighting to choose from, fluorescent and halogen studio lighting kits for both photography and video production. Continous lighting with a flick of a switch will give photographers a constant high quality lighting source for as long as they need.

Lighting with fluorescent kits versus halogen kits is much more energy efficient. Fluorescent photography lights are literally cool to the touch and produce no heat. Unlike hot lights otherwise known as halogen studio lights. Halogen bulbs will burn a little brighter than fluorescent but they create heat and use more electricity. It’s worth keeping this in mind when comparing the two for production lighting in photography or video.

Continuous lighting is a popular alternative for all degrees of photographers from novice to professional for there ease of use in comparison to flash lighting. Photography lighting kits like these for shooting video, products, and portraits will help create beautiful images.
