Adding Accessories to Your Sexy Pirate Halloween Costume

Halloween is that one time of the year where everyone gets to act like they are something more than they are. Everyone wants to have fun and act less like an adult, and I think that is why so many people participate in Halloween. One of my favorite Halloween costumes for women is a Pirate. No matter what the woman’s age a pirate costume will always be a great Halloween costume. The draw back is that so many other women will also be pirates. This is what I am hoping to help with. I want to give you a few great ideas to make your Sexy Pirate Halloween Costume stand out against the rest of them. Some of these ideas are common and some are not. Most are cheap and a lot are probably already in your possession. Pirate swords, Long gold necklaces, and eye patches are some of those accessories that everyone thinks of when someone says Pirate. They may not be unique but they definitely have the potential to create a great look. Pirate swords offer a great area to come up with a cool variation to the status quo. Every woman knows at least one man with a couple metal fake swords laying around. Find that person you know and ask if you can borrow one of his instead of carrying around a cheap plastic sword for the night. If you cannot find anyone willing to let you use one, you can always go to a local second hand shop or get an inexpensive one off of craigslist. With a bit of digging you will surely find one in the five to ten dollar range. Gold necklaces are a given, but remember the thicker they are the better the effect for a Pirate costume. Eye patches are another obvious choice, but they do offer a chance to get extremely creative. You can put a small picture or some costume jewels on it to make it flashier. Things almost every girl has in her repertoire that will help out with the Halloween costume task include long fake nails, dark lipstick, fishnet stockings, big exaggerated rings, hair highlights, and a stuffed Parrot or monkey. Throw in these subtle touches and you are sure to have an effective costume. A talking parrot or monkey would be even better, and it would make your costume interactive. It will be a great way to get people to notice your costume. All of these ideas are great, but you must remember to make sure you are comfortable. You’re going to be in this costume all night. There is nothing worse than being uncomfortable and having to keep track of random items. Keep yourself from going overboard and you will have the best Halloween ever. Just have fun with it!
